Information for Participants:
The NorVA Centre is planning their first (and hopefully, annual) One Square Foot art show, starting with an exhibition and silent auction during Culture Days 2014 and ending with a live auction the following weekend.
In line with Culture Day's theme, regional emerging and aspiring artists are being encouraged to participate in what promises to be a fun-filled visual event!
Artwork from all possible media including oil, acrylic, batik, quilting, encaustic, watercolour, metal work, clay, or whatever your creative mind may come up with is not only welcomed but encouraged; the only limit is your imagination! Participants from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of skill level or experience. A special Youth category is also in the planning stages and further details will follow.
Special coaching classes are being planned at NorVA during the summer months to assist anyone who would like a basic introduction to art to aid in their participation. Details will be posted as they are finalized.
If you ever wondered if you have artistic ability or what it would be like to participate in an art show, this is your chance! All artwork submitted will be offered for sale at NorVA, with an exhibition and silent auction starting on Thursday, September 25, running throughout Culture Days and ending with a live auction on Saturday, October 4.
For additional information, please refer to the link to the Criteria page and also the Frequently Asked Questions ("FAQ's").
In order to assist with planning for the event, all interested participants are required to register using the form under the link Registration Contract. Additional information regarding fees and responsibilities are outlined in this section.
